Jim Hanlon is a Surrey based artist who paints extraordinarily beautiful contemporary figurative portraits from his idyllic art studio in Epson, Kingston.
Giving his first ever candid interview in conversation with Kayandra Hudson, Jim Hanlon attributes a strong academic background shaped by a fine art degree at Kingston University during the mid eighties, artistic influences from John Singer Sargent and having encouraging supporting parents as significant contributory factors that led to a successful professional artist career as a full time figurative portrait painter for more than two decades.
Jim Hanlon’s exquisite figurative portraits are widely commissioned and much sought after by private collectors in the UK and throughout Europe. He has exhibited extensively in many group and solo exhibitions including the Mall Galleries in London.
