Jim Hanlon Interview

November 1, 2010 by Artist Nest

Jim Hanlon’s contemporary art figurative oil paintings speaks for itself. A strong academic background shaped by a Fine Art degree at Kingston University during the mid eighties, artistic influences from John Singer Sargent and nurturing parents are primary contributory factors that led to a successful professional career as a full time figurative portrait painter spanning two decades, working from his art studio base in Surrey.

Jim Hanlon’s exquisite figurative paintings are much sought after in the UK and throughout Europe. He has taken part in many group and solo exhibitions at several venues including the Mall Galleries in London. More information about Jim Hanlon’s paintings, his latest works, studio visits and private commissions can be found on his website.
